Director Ashwin Mohan and Actor Greg Draven

The very first time I saw Greg, I knew for a fact that I’d never met any like him before. His distinct appearance coupled with the incredibly positive aura he carries around makes him one of the most fascinating people I’ve come across in my life.

I worked with Greg on a short film. That’s when I discovered the chameleon in him.

Greg has this unique ability to be insanely enthusiastic and cheerful on set, but when the camera’s roll, he can transform into anything the role demands from him.
Blending effortlessly into a role is the mark of a skilled actor – It came as no surprise that in the end, viewers loved his character the most.

That particular film I directed him in is one of the best shooting experiences I’ve ever had and a lot of that credit goes to Greg’s ability to keep the cast and crew smiling even at most tense moments.
Taking pictures with the crew on set and letting everyone know what a great job they’re doing is not something you see most actors do. Greg isn’t like most actors.

His approach to playing a character and the sincerity he brings to it makes his role the highlight of the film irrespective of how small or big the role is.
It’s challenging for an actor to get a clear understanding of the level of improvisation required to make their character seem alive. It’s amazing how easily Greg brings that skill to his roles.
I’d like to say that Greg’s a great guy and nothing short of that, but that would be an understatement.

Working with him was a blissful experience, an experience I’d love to revisit some time soon.
